The information below gives indications on when each of the remedies may be helpful or provide relief in an acute allergy situation (they may be indicated for other conditions as well).

In an acute situation, follow all of the normal practices and consult with your emergency medical professional or GP, if required.

1. Allium cepa

Allium cepa is indicated in allergies that include:

• a runny nose
• a cough
• a nasal discharge that is watery and may burn
• hoarse voice
• cough
• watery eyes
• photosensitivity.

2. Causticum

Causticum is indicated in allergies that include:

• any kind of skin irritation
• a cough
• burning sensation
• muscle tremouring.

3. Chamomila

Chamomlia is indicated in allergies that include:

• usually in children
• the child may be irritable, and
• be hypersensitive to pain.

4. Sabadilla
Sabadilla is indicated in allergies that include:

• hay fever with violent sneezing
• lots of nasal discharge that is watery
• eyelids that are red and burning, and
• lots of watery tears.

5. Wyethia

Wyethia is indicated in allergies that include:

• itchy nose, throat and palate with hay fever
• swollen throat that needs to be cleared frequently
• hoarseness
• dry tickling cough
• pain going down the back.

Administering the remedy

If you are giving the remedy to another person, it is important not to touch it yourself, as that can reduce the efficacy.

It is best to pour 2-3 pillules into the botte cap and hand to the other person for use.

Storage of your homeopathic allergy travel kit

However, it is still best to store it in a cool, dark place, away from anything that has a strong odour.
